Here are the details so far.

Meet at the 356th fighter group at 9:45am, head out by 10am. Stop in Coshocton around 1ish to meet up with Kawi kid, Whodey, exsraaron and whomever else from Cbus. Ride back to 356th for the bike show. We can grab some BBQ or something at the event.

Hand signals and a pace comfortable for everyone will be discussed before heading out, show up with gas, no douchebaggery, etc.... If we have enough people, we may split into a fast group and a slow group.

Post up if you are in. Also, the 356th does have a killer Sunday brunch, so you may want to think about showing up early and eating.

Pussy...ride your bike to the ff game and head out from there. It'll take less than 1.5 hrs to get there...probably more like 1.25 hrs... 1:15pm

you could take the generic 161 to 16 into coshocton. get off in town at the exit for 541 and hang a right to hit the mcdonalds. Also could take 62 to 36, then 36W to 16 into coshocton.

or just ask Kawi kid what the best route out of columbus is. Aaron should have my cell # if you guys get lost.

Just take 62 north to 541...take 541 all the way to McDonalds...much better ride than 161 b.s. Same route we took a few weeks ago when we went up that way..

Ride in whatever you feel comfortable with. I doubt we'll be riding all that aggressively, since most of us have never ridden together before. I'm leaving the full leathers at home. If we are riding too aggressive for you, don't try to keep up. Just ride your own ride and we'll wait at the next stoplight. Trying to ride above your comfort level is dangerous.

Yeah I see they upped it from 30% to 80%. I am going to keep an eye on the weather and see if it comes through a little more quickly then they planned. Are you doing the ride rain or shine? Or will someone post on here early if its cancelled?

Yeah, I'll be watching the weather to see if this will go down or not. Worst case we might skip the ride and hit the bike show later if the weather is ok in the afternoon. As of right now, I'm still planning on riding. Hell, if I can survive Mid-Ohio in a downpour, street riding in the rain isn't going to kill me.

You are correct. I stick out like a sore thumb around here since I always wear that pesky safety gear. Some parts of Rt.44 have some decent curves, until you run into Rt.30. Lots of cruisers out today. One of them even passed me as I was about to pass a cager. I'm too slow...

HA, figured that was you. Almost thought about turning around to catch up with you. I think we passed somewhere between 62 and state street. I was on a blue R6 with white/grey/black leathers.

Alas, the one thing I miss about my Intruder is it's ability to make me feel safe in the rain. Heavier than a sportbike and no chain to clean when I get home. A 40% chance of rain usually means a very overcast day. We should grab brunch so the Akron folks can catch up, if it's still raining...

I am in deep shit.......started nice but as usual fast, I don't care the pouring rain...pulled over on I-271 just before the route 8 exit in Macedonia. I actually shot past the cop car (it was black SUV with a slim light bar so I didn't notice it in the rain properly)at ~95 mph. Well you know the rest. He called another cop as he could not clock my speed..he repeatedly asked me what was my speed and I told him I wasn't sure.....didn't confess. He asked me where I am going and I told the truth and he said you ain't goin anymore......fuck..... He took well 50 minutes to write me the ticket. He wrote "reckless operation in rain and moderate traffic" and mandatory court appearence on July 30th at 1 PM.
So I am back home depressed...going to get a six maybe twelve pack.

Wow, what a fucking ride! That's the first time ever that I have been in the rain that long, and I didn't lose traction once. At least now I know what my bike does in the rain. Which means my car will never be used until it starts snowing. I was glad to meet some good people.

Had a great ride whodey was very professional and kept it under 50 for us slower riders. My legs are cramping up i dont get to ride enough and today was a bit much to jump into but i had a great time ! Everyone was courteous and rode safely hard to find with all these squids around! I would do it again anytime! Thanks for setting it up!

hey just let me know i will show you some more other roads around the area.

i think i logged the least miles by far. but i definatly made it back to town from where i split from you all in about 16 min. and i had so slow for alot of traffic too. now i have to clean all the little rubber balls out from under my bike that were thrown from my tire :mad:

Sounds like you guys had a good time... I wussed out on the ride with all the rain that was on the weather map, but I went down to the stunt show for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Hope I can meet up with you guys for a ride like this again when it's dry out.

So what was the show like......Cool or Squid paradise??? Nobody got any pix there?

I think I saw more mohawks than helmets, but you know how it goes with "that crowd". the stunt show was pretty decent (we got to see 1 session) I'm ready to start my stunt crew - who's got a 60tooth laying around??? :D

Nope. Most of the ride was in a torrential downpour, I got stuck leading and therefore got stuck listening to half the riders bitching about someone on a literbike that couldn't/wouldn't keep up at a 5-10mph over pretty civilized pace, and a half hour before we set out, I get to find out that a friend of mine was executed in the line of duty that day.

Yeah and I was pulled over in Macedonia at 96 mph in rain.....and that cop ruined my day for taking 50 minutes to give that ticket....and missed that ride...
